Between the sea and the lagoon: Wrzosowo, Dziwnówek, Kamień Pomorski

Słoneczna Przystań lies in Wrzosowo, a village on regional road no. 107 between Kamień Pomorski and Dziwnówek, about 1.5 km from the sea and right by the Kamień Lagoon. The village is named after heather (wrzos); until 1945 Wrzosowo bore the German name Fritzow. It is a good base if you want accommodation close to Dziwnówek, but in peace and quiet.

A cycle path leads to the sea, so the whole family can get there by bike. If you like a promenade and some bustle, choose Dziwnów; if you prefer fewer people, head for the wild beach in Radawka.

On the other side of the village lies the Kamień Lagoon, and Wrzosowo itself lives at a calm, summery pace – after a day by the water you come back here as to a safe harbour.

  • Beaches in Dziwnówek and Radawka

    approx. 3 km

    The beach in Dziwnówek and the wild beach in Radawka are about 3 km from the cottages. For a change, try Dziwnów (east beach about 4 km, central beach about 6 km) or Łukęcin (about 5 km).

  • The Kamień Lagoon

    right next door

    Known for windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP, with a windsurfing school on the shore. Kayaks, pedal boats and SUP boards can be hired in Dziwnówek.

  • Kamień Pomorski

    approx. 7 km

    The historic St John the Baptist co-cathedral hosts the oldest organ music festival in Pomerania, with concerts on summer Fridays. The town also has the Bishops’ Palace, the town hall, a marina and a promenade along the lagoon.

  • Dziwnów

    approx. 5 km

    A promenade, boat trips and a drawbridge over the Dziwna – try to catch the moment the span rises to let the yachts through. A good choice for a cloudy afternoon or an evening walk.

  • For children

    nearby

    The Dinosaur Park with attractions for children is not far away and can be reached along the cycle path. Wrzosowo has a horse-riding centre, and the pool, trampoline and playground await on the property.

  • Day trips

    approx. 16–30 km

    The church ruins on the cliff in Trzęsacz, the Centre of Slavs and Vikings in Wolin, and Międzyzdroje with Wolin National Park and its European bison enclosure.

How to get here

By car

On regional road no. 107 between Kamień Pomorski and Dziwnówek (GPS: 54.01327, 14.81426). Look out for the building with the sign “11 WRZOSOWO”. Free parking on the property.

By train

The nearest railway station is in Kamień Pomorski, about 6 km from the cottages. Please let us know your arrival time in advance – check-in is between 14:00 and 18:00.

By plane

The nearest airports are Szczecin-Goleniów (about 58 km) and Heringsdorf in Germany (about 55 km).
